Introducing Our New Uniform

We are very proud to introduce to you the new Kinross Wolaroi School academic uniform. As we approach the celebration of 50 years as Kinross Wolaroi School in 2025, it was time to create a new, strong Kinross Wolaroi look that will last for many decades. In creating our new academic uniform we wanted a design that acknowledged our past, while enabling our students to look classic and contemporary.

In designing the collection, the perspectives of our students, parents and staff were examined, together with a careful study of our uniform and its features. All of this was considered and represented in the design process to ensure that the finished product is something in which we can all feel tremendous pride. And most importantly, it is a range which our students will feel comfortable wearing.

We engaged respected Australian designer, Jonathan Ward to lead the project. Jonathan was head designer for RM Williams for 15 years and has created uniforms for many of Australia’s iconic businesses, as well as many schools in Australia and overseas. 

The collection represents value and convenience for families. The flexibility, versatility and durability of the items will ensure this is a uniform that remains in style and practical for many years to come.

To assist families, there will be a two year transition to the new uniform meaning that every student will be wearing our new range from the beginning of 2024. In the interim, the uniform will be progressively introduced as new students enter Pre-Kinder, Kinder and Year 7. This gives flexibility to our families to progressively update and transition to the new uniform over the next two years.

As a community and a school we have faced some tough years while working on this project, and I feel that this uniform is a significant achievement in the face of that adversity. I know our Committee would particularly like to thank you for your patience and the flow of supportive feedback.

We look forward to our students wearing this uniform with pride for many years to come.
