During the first week at school, all Year 7 students will be participating in a transition program teaching students skills they will need in high school. Some of the content covered during the program will be - college behavioural expectations, classroom organisation, academic expectations, study skills, study plans, home study set up at home, personal wellbeing, and online learning skills.
In addition to this this program, we are having a Year 7 Parent Information Evening on Wednesday, the 14th of February, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm in the school library.
All Year 7 parents and guardians are invited to attend this evening focusing on how families can support their child in their secondary schooling. Topics being covered on the evening are – reading conferences and generalised information in regards to learning at Staughton.
This is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to find additional ways to support their child in their learning and throughout their teenage years. Notices will been given to all Year 7 students on the first week of classes. Parents and Guardians are asked to RSVP by Monday 12th February via the General Office.
