Class of 2019 Celebration Day

The 25th of October signalled the end of an era for our Year 12 cohort. The end of year Celebration Day was held with pomp and ceremony to farewell the cohort from our hallowed halls. The day started with the much anticipated BBQ breakfast whereupon all students could be seen devouring the traditional ‘Aussie taco’ embellished with the odd egg and slice of bacon.

After feeding the masses the students conducted their own award ceremony, recognising the efforts of their teachers over the years, with particular focus given to their Year 12 teachers and anyone else that they have taken a ‘shine’ to.

After the traditional whole school assembly; at which time they showered the rest of the school with streamers, confetti and merriment, the cohort were whisked away to their mystery destinations.

They spent much time at Archie Brothers Circus, engaging in many activities worthy of the Melbourne Show. From one of Docklands finest to another, we travelled far to a smorgasbord of fine fare at New Quay International Buffet.

With full stomachs and worn muscles we boarded the express back home at around 2:30pm. Along the way the students received many accolades, ranging from praise on the V/Line service, to the same praise at the venues and some interesting gazes and puzzlement from the general public along the way thanks to their amazing get-ups.

Thank you to all that came along and enjoyed the day, and the staff team certainly appreciated the warm thanks that we received in return from the students themselves during the long, tiring journey back home.
