CAMPS

2017 – Yr 8 – Lake Dewar Camp

We’re on the countdown to Year 8 Camp…. 4 weeks to go!

Dates: Monday 11th to Wednesday 13th December 2017

Reminder that final camp payments were due by: October 15th (written documentation due date). We hope that any outstanding amounts had been paid by Friday 3rd November (Compass on-line payments due date). But if any amounts are still owing, these MUST be finalised by Monday  20th November.

Please appreciate that we need to finalise numbers for this camp. (ie. Bus and camp bookings) If there are any students planning not to attend this compulsory school program, they should have provided notification, in writing, to the Co-ordinators.

A ‘What to Bring’ to camp letter was provided on Monday during Pastoral Care and a room allocation survey completed… start counting the sleeps!

2018 – All Years –  Leadership Camp

Dates: Monday 26th to Tuesday 27th February 2018

More information to come!

2018 – Yr 11 –  Wellbeing, Pathways and Study Skills Camp

Dates: Monday 12th to Wednesday 14th March 2018

Students have received documentation and should have completed and returned this to Mrs O’Shaughnessy, before the end of last term.

Payments of $300 can be made directly to the Bursar or on COMPASS. If the instalment plan on COMPASS doesn’t suit your needs, please contact the College’s Business Manager, Mr Hunt to make alternative arrangements to pay.

CSEF can be used to contribute to this camp.  Please contact the Bursar to advise if this is your preference. CSEF application form is located elsewhete in this newsletter or is available from the school office.

2018 – Yr 10 – Rubicon Camp

Dates: Monday 5th to Friday 9th March 2018

A deposit of $100 was due by Friday 3rd November if you wanted to be considered for this camp, but we extended this until Friday 17th November. Payments from female students will still be accepted after this time.

Places still remain for girls for this fantastic camp….

So girls, get a group together and commit to this fun experience… the bigger the group the better! The camp cost of $400 can be paid in instalments and if there are issues with payment, please see Mrs Arneil.

Expression of interest forms are still available in the main office, from the Year 9 Co-ordinators and from Mrs Arneil (Rubicon Camp Co-ordinator).

Thirty-six lucky students (18 males and 18 females) get to go to Rubicon and it is the only year level camp for Year 10’s.

The 2017 camp meetings will be held in TC9, Friday lunchtimes:

  • 17th November to receive confirmation letters & paperwork
  • 1st December return forms and talk about ‘What to Bring’ to camp
  • 8th December return forms and organise rooms

As this camp is in week six of term one, a majority of the preparation has to be completed before the end of Rollover.

2018 – Yr 7 – Forest Edge CYC

Dates: Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st March 2018

The 2018 camp will be at Forest Edge Camp. It has an exhilarating high ropes course and a 300 metre flying fox. We will encourage students to ‘reach for the top’ on our high indoor climbing wall, as well as enjoy a peaceful forest walk along the Latrobe River. Students will have the opportunity to build relationships with new friends, as well as the opportunity to be part of some amazing group and individual activities…. Can’t wait

2018 – Yr 10,11 & 12 –  Central Australia Camp

Mrs Dempster is awaiting deposit payments. Written information regarding this camp is available outside the Year 10 & 11 Co-ordinators office.

You have not seen Australia until you’ve seen Central Australia.

Make the most of this fantastic opportunity, run during the last week of term 2 and the school holidays. No new work is covered in Year 12 VCE classes during this time, so you don’t miss out on school work….

AND if you’re concerned about Windsor, we suggest that you pay your deposit for Central, then trial for Windsor. If you make the Windsor squad, you can transfer your deposit to your Windsor expenses. If you don’t make the Windsor squad, you still have secured a place on this fantastic camp.
