Secondary School Vaccine Program

If you do not wish for your details to be provided to Banyule City Council, please advise the school in writing by tomorrow, 6th March 2020.

The Secondary School Vaccine Program offers free vaccines to help make sure students and communities are protected from diseases such as diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, human papillomavirus (HPV) and meningococcal A, C, W, Y.

Local councils deliver the program and schools distribute the information and consent card booklets.

The Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009 authorises secondary schools to provide their local council with student and parent/guardian contact information for any student scheduled to receive a vaccination. This information assists local councils to follow-up parents/guardians of students with incomplete or missing consent cards.

Your information will be provided to Banyule City Council on 9th March 2020.

Please see COMPASS notification for further information.

NDIS Speech and Occupational Therapy Requests

Concord School employs Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to support our students and their programmes at school. With the introduction of the NDIS our therapists are increasingly being asked to provide assessments, reports or letters for students as part of the student’s application, plan review or appeal.

Unfortunately, our therapy staff simply do not have the time to meet such requests and it is out of scope of their current roles. They can only provide a copy of any previous assessment and reports done at school as part of the student’s Program for Students with Disability funding application. Our therapy staff’s priority is to work with the students and teachers within Concord School. Parents and carers are advised to include a review of therapy services into plans in conjunction with existing external supports.

We are however able to provide advice around NDIS plans for families.

Please contact Sharon Ouliaris via email on
