Student Leadership
Secondary Student Leaders have made a brilliant start to the year after completing the induction during the holidays where they had the opportunity to learn skills, consider their values and goals as a team and plan their events and Chapel Services for the year. During their induction day the student leaders planned ways they could welcome their peers to the year. Class Captains were challenged with the task of a welcoming activity for each of their classes. The Year 7s planned a class party during lunch, the Year 8s planned a range of games and activities which would build relationships and the School Captains baked cookies for the Year 12s because they knew food would bring their class together.
The students’ heart for their peers became a very strong focus through all of their planning. Their passion for their peers to ‘get involved’ in the school, and their desire to serve them has been outworked in their loving generosity so far.
It was a pleasure to welcome the leaders to their roles during Commencement Service. Our School Captains this year are Noah Davids, Phoebe Lewis, Amelia Rooney and Malcolm Worthing
Senior Class Captains are Montana How, Taj Mastrasavas, Annelise Griggs and Tamika Worthing. Middle School Class Captains are Nicholas Silwood, Sean Kelley, Mia Bishop and Pasan Ranathan Gamage.
Bremer House Captains are Jack Hicks and Emma Van de Meulengraaf, Angus House Captains are Taryn Connor and Toby Wohlschlager, Murray House Captains are Amy Ewers and Hannah Munyard and Finniss House Captains are Jessica Donald and Hamish Goodman.
We look forward to the first Chapel Service led by the Senior Leaders, next week on Wednesday. Parents and friends are welcome to join us from 9:00am in the Auditorium.
