Primary News

From the Deputy
Welcome to the first newsletter of 2019. I have been so thrilled to see how well the students have settled in. I have enjoyed seeing the students in their classrooms learning and having lots of fun with interesting and challenging content. I very much enjoy seeing students smile and embrace their new learning environments. What has also been evident is the genuine excitement amongst the staff; they are really looking forward to see the year develop.
I would like to congratulate the Year 6 class on presenting the Primary’s first assembly. I would like to particularly mention the fantastic partnering between the Reception and Year 6 students as buddies – what a wonderful sight! (Photos below)
Added to this was the presentation of the Primary Leaders for 2019; this is always a great time of celebration. I would like to thank those who applied but unfortunately were not appointed. You can still be a leader in the Primary School by demonstrating our RISE values on a daily basis.
Well done to all.
2019 Primary Choir
We had our first choir meeting on Thursday at lunch time with approximately 40 students. We sang Freedom Hymn by Austin French and Fix You by Coldplay. The students sound fantastic and had big smiles on their faces. Well done to you all.
