Early Learning Centre

From the Director's Chair

We have had a wonderful start to the year in the ELC.

Our first Inquiry topic has been 'All about Me'. The children have been busy measuring and comparing how tall they are. A highlight of the first week was a coffee shop in our Role Play area. Children were busy taking orders and serving coffee.

The ELC has had a refurbishment over the term break and the students are enjoying new routines and new learning areas. It has been a fabulous opportunity as I have started as Director in the ELC to revise and reinvigorate. Our teaching staff  Mrs Daddow and Mrs Downes are excited to return to the Centre . We also welcome Mrs Collins back from a stint in Murray Bridge along with our regular support staff Mrs. McCabe, Mr Cameron, Miss Lawson and Mrs Grocke will return after some annual leave in week 4.

I have enjoyed the time I have spent getting to know families and children and I thank you all for the warm welcome.

Acquaintance night was a great opportunity to meet staff and tour the ELC. Many thanks to the families who came. We are looking forward to a fantastic year.

Afternoon OSHC-  A roll of students booked in will be sent to the School office. A Junior School teacher will collect students to be transported at the School and will come with the students to sign them in at the ELC.

OSHC children will be integrated into the ELC program and supervised by the rostered staff.  Families should then enter the ELC to sign children out at pick up using the iPad kiosk.
