A New Year
Welcome to the New School Year. Over the Christmas holidays administration staff and teachers prepared the way for another exciting year. Much planning and building work was done to achieve a number of changes:
- Newly refitted Primary toilets for boys and girls. (Photos below)
- Newly established and beautifully decorated Well-being Centre for Primary and Secondary students.
- Construction under way below the Gymnasium for the development of a new Learning Support Centre that will service Primary and Secondary students with greater resources and efficiency, along with a new Primary Music room.
- Beautiful reallocation of learning spaces in the Early Learning Centre.
In addition to the obvious architectural changes, a great deal has been focused on in classroom learning spaces, curriculum design, teaching resources and staff professional development in curriculum delivery and assessment. Excellent conferences have been enjoyed by Primary and Secondary teachers at AISSA and at our sister campus at Murray Bridge.
We were blessed to welcome several new staff to our Tyndale Strathalbyn family:
Mrs Beverley Giggins – Director of our Early Learning Centre
Mrs Jessica Leslie - Year 6 teacher
Mrs Nicole Erkelenz - Year 4 teacher
Mr Max Jenkins - Year 8 teacher
Mrs Yvette Hawke – Main Administration Reception
At our Commencement Service we welcomed back two of our “old scholars” from last year. It was a great pleasure to congratulate our Dux of School (Tom Rowe) and Runner-up Dux (Susan Haeusler) on their outstanding results last year. We look forward to following their careers in Veterinary Science (Tom) and International Relations and Law (Susan). We are also very proud of the success of our 2018 Year 12 group as a whole and the wide range of career paths they are pursuing.
We are thrilled to welcome many new students to the ELC, Primary and Secondary campuses and look forward to seeing them flourish throughout the year.
As a staff we were blessed by the special days of Tyndale staff gatherings where staff from the three Schools met at Salisbury East to celebrate our faith, confirm our professional direction and plan for a brilliant year ahead.
Thank you for entrusting your children to our care . I wish you all a wonderful Tyndalian year!
Blessings,
Nigel Croser
