Reading is my secret power!

We would like to send out a HUGE MPS THANK YOU to Shirley Abbatovi (parent of Yve - Grade 1/2C) for donating over $700 to our school library! With this money we are able to purchase this year’s entire selection of shortlisted books for Book Week. Shirley’s generous gift to the school will allow us all to celebrate the special event of Book Week in the third week of August and also enhance the quality and selection of books in the school library. Thank you so much Shirley!

Each year across Australia, the CBCA brings children and books together celebrating CBCA Book Week. During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian children's literature and you will often see children's book character parades and talented librarians creating amazing displays. 

The CBCA Book of the Year Awards are announced each year on the third Friday in August.

CBCA Book Week commences the week of 17–23 August.
