Westall SC Careers Expo 2018

Thank you to the Westall Community who helped make this yearly Career Expo the success that it was on Monday 18th June.  We trust that parents will join us next year.

 

The feedback received was that all students were respectful and engaged, WELL DONE STUDENTS - and that Exhibitors are happy to return to our school in 2019. 

 

All students were given a passport and if they asked a question, the Exhibitor would stamp their passport.  

 

Thanks to Mrs. Nikolaou for kick-starting the invitations at the start of Term 2. Thanks to our Admin Team, Ms Baumgartner, Mr. Tran and Year Level Co-ordinators Ms. Armstrong, Mr. Tahos, Ms Chomiak and Ms Nguyen also Mr. Henderson,  Mr. Johnstone, Ms Simadri and Mr. Lanarus for their support.

We were fortunate to have the Defence Force (Army and Navy) and Police at our Expo as it is usually very difficult to get them as Exhibitors.

Thanks to all our Exhibitors (listed below) who  attended; our students benefited from asking questions and getting their responses.  

 

Special thanks to our Hospitality teachers and students who helped serve lunch to the Exhibitors and Year 12 students.    Thanks to Year 12 students Tiara and Ruby for jumping in and helping with whatever was requested of them.

 

Here is some feedback from our Exhibitors :

  • The organisations attended presented diversity and provided useful information to students.
  • Staff were on site to assist stall holders with various queries and solve problems in a timely manner.
  • The involvement of students to prepare the lunch and give out fruits to stall holders provided a greater sense of leadership and opportunities to learn about event management
  • Congratulations on a successful day. Your students were so engaged!
  • The passport was a good way to get students to actually come up and see what we do.
