Design and Technology

Term 1 this term, year 9 students will be undertaking a personal interest project task for woodwork. Students will identify a problem or need that they have and use the design and technologies process to investigate, generate, produce, and evaluate a design solution over the course of the term. 

Students have a say in what they would like to do and have already explored a range of interesting ideas. 

Some students have selected to design:

• coffee tables
• BBQ caddies
• multipurpose tables
• side tables 
• motor bike stands 
• Gaming stands/units
• coaster sets and holders 

Students will use a range of safe work practices, workshop processes, equipment, tools, machines, and even materials to plan and produce their design solutions.
