Dunlop Reflection

We welcome you to the first issue of Providence for 2018. We, Jenna Potts and Amanda Matas, your 2018 Dunlop Cluster Coordinators are very much looking forward to a busy and productive year which sees our students involving themselves in the Catholic Regional College Sydenham community and making the most of the time they will spend with us. These past few weeks have seen each of our tutor groups elect a representative to lead them throughout the year. We would like to congratulate the 2018 Dunlop Student Leaders. They each embody the Dunlop values of forgiveness, commitment and courage and have already proven eager to represent our cluster, collectively coming up with many social justice initiatives, cluster activities and other ideas to bring not only our Dunlop cluster together, but our whole school community. Representing Dunlop this year are the following students:
Nyanjuma Akoul Student Leader (D1) - Reflection
The school year has begun with a motivational school assembly reinforcing the message of hard work and faith. Last years dux Teresa Phan shared a speech capturing her journey through year 12, although she spoke on her year as a year 12 student. Her speech also informed year 11 students of what their study habits and daily activities should consist of. Students should remain motivated throughout the school year and strive to achieve their very best, while remembering this years school theme ‘Faith= words + action’. Students should walk in faith daily and set goals to complete and strive towards being the best student that you can be.
