Social Justice Update

We have had a cracking start to this year in regards to social justice! We have donated our wooden lockers to our sister school in East Timor which has now given them the opportunity to safely store their food and resources to prevent them from being taken. For Shrove Tuesday students and staff made and sold pancakes and all the proceeds were also sent to East Timor. Ash Wednesday was also a big success with each cluster group running a ceremony and collating their donations of non-perishable items such as jasmine rice and tinned meats. All these items will be sent to Philippines and donated to individuals affected by poverty. Caritas’ Project Compassion has also begun and students are reminded to be reflective during this time. Students are reminded to bring in a gold coin donation to send a helping hand.
