Bradman Reflection

Welcome from the Coordinators

Welcome to 2018! It has been a great start to the year for the Bradman Cluster. As students pick up where they left off in 2017, it has been good to see the positive attitudes, the new friendships forming and the dedication to studying. We are looking forward to what the year has in store.

Introducing our Year 11 Captains

Tio Alemu

Hi, my name is Tio Alemu and I am the Year 11 cluster leader for Bradman this year. I believe we as a Bradman cohort can achieve many things, such as improving the community. And for a community to change for the better, everyone in it, must be willing and committed to take on the change themselves. By this I mean that we can all participate and take full advantage of opportunities that come our way. We will also be asking you all for your opinion on what activities to organise, what charities to donate to...etc. So, keep an eye out for various topics and events and feel free to contribute your ideas as this will be highly valued by the Bradman leadership team. I am very excited to work with you all and make Bradman the best cluster.

Pete Vamvakas

Hello! My name is Pete Vamvakas and this year I am the Year 11 Bradman Sports Cluster Captain for 2018. I am really looking forward to the year ahead as I genuinely enjoy working in teams, bringing positivity, getting people involved and ensuring that everyone most importantly has fun! The year will be full of fun activities from Sport to Cluster based activities. I cannot wait get everyone involved in these, as we all become apart of the culture here at CRC Sydenham. This year I will work closely with our fellow Bradman Sport and Cluster Leaders to establish a winning culture in the Bradman Sporting scene. Looking forward to getting to know you all and wishing everyone a good year ahead, Go Bradman!

From the Bradman Captains

Ash Wednesday

Last Wednesday, the cluster of Bradman gathered on the basketball courts and participated in a Ash Wednesday liturgy. As a school, we were asked to bring in non perishable foods and toiletries. With help of teachers, cluster coordinators and homerooms, Bradman successfully filled up a whole bleacher full of canned food! This will be sent off to the Philippines and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Project Compassion

As always, it is that time of year again where Project Compassion becomes a center focus of our College community. As a cluster, Bradman is determined to help those less fortunate than us. With your help, the school community wants to create an awareness and raise funds for those in third world countries, so please donate today. Every cent counts!

Study Tip of the Month

It is really important to have a good study environment. The study space should be devoted to study and if possible not in the same place where you sleep. You should find somewhere that has:

  • Good seating
  • Good lighting
  • Minimal distractions
  • A clock
  • Refreshments
  • Privacy
  • An organised space.
