The Dugdale Cup is a new intra-school sport program that has been introduced to Kalinda Primary School. It has been named in honour of Ted Dugdale, a long serving staff member, who has shown great dedication, care and upkeep in maintaining our school facilities.

Students competed in the Dugdale Cup every Friday afternoon. They played together with their house teams - Melba, Chisholm, Parkes and McCubbin in a number of different sports against the other house teams. The sports they competed in are the same as what is offered in the Inter School Sport Program. In term 1, they covered the summer sports; basketball, cricket, tee-ball, softcrosse, volleyball and tennis. In term 2, they covered the winter sports; netball, softball, tennis, volleyball, AFL and soccer.

Not only did the students enjoy playing competition based games in their house teams, they also learnt the skills and rules associated with the sports offered as part of Inter-School Sport, which will prepare them well, with skills and confidence moving forwards.

Each week, every game was scored and the results were recorded. A very big congratulations to MELBA house who were the overall winners!!!

Well done Melba House!!!
