Parents and Friends

Trivia Night

A reminder to our families and friends that the 2021 P&F Trivia Night is still happening after being postponed due to the recent lockdown. The date has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 17 at 6.45pm. There is still time to secure your seat – please join us and book your place at the link: https://www.trybooking.com/BRBWRFor those who have previously booked, your booking will be honoured for the revised date.  We look forward to welcoming our HT community of parents and friends to do battle with our Principal, Heads of School and staff. It will be a truly memorable evening.

Recently concluded Honey Fundraiser

The Huntingtower P&F committee would like to extend our thanks to all HT families, staff and friends who supported our recent Honey Drive. With this year’s honey coming from Pure Peninsula Honey, we accumulated orders for 310 jars – a wonderful result. It was a scramble to distribute orders on the eve of the most recent lockdown but we achieved the (almost) impossible. In the process, we generated a profit of $1,111.56 which will be directed to P&F initiatives.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

With the HT performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream coming up in late July, a reminder that the P&F will be providing refreshments during intermission from the MYC. There will be hot drinks and sweet treats available for purchase and we look forward to supporting this exciting series of performances.

The P&F Care & Share Program

At the beginning of 2021, the P&F introduced our Care & Share Program to the HT community. This important initiative exists to support Huntingtower families in need as a result of adversity. It is a voluntary program and we welcome the participation of any HT parent who has the desire and wherewithal to become involved. The program is not onerous and to be truly successful, will rely on the involvement of as many parents and families who can make themselves available to assist, should the need ever arise. If you are interested in becoming involved in this HT values-defining initiative, we would warmly welcome you. If nothing else, the past 18 months have demonstrated the need for cohesion and a shared sense of community. Please visit the link to find out more and to register your interest at https://huntingtower.fireflycloud.net.au/parents-and-friends-association/care-and-share-program.

Mid-Year Break

On behalf of the P&F committee, we wish all our students, families and staff an enjoyable and safe mid-year break. We look forward to a busy Term 3 and to supporting a myriad of school events to come over the next few months including the Monash Youth Music Festival, the HT performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Junior School Ball Games.  See you around the school when we return for Term 3.
