Thank you for everyone's patience and understanding in regards to the postponement of the trial athletics carnival. We are hopeful that the rain may stay away and we will be able to run these events next week. Thank you to the parents who are able to help. Amended parent helper notes went home yesterday. If you did not receive the note, then your time has not changed or you have let me know you are now unable to help.
Estimated times for events
11:15am - 2:30pm - Year 2 (Shot Put, Long Jump, 100m & 200m events)
11:30 - 12:30pm - 12/13 years & 11 years (100 & 200m events)
12:30 - 1:10pm - 10 years (100 & 200m events)
2:00 - 3:00pm - 8/9 years (100 & 200m events)
Good luck to Riley Daly and Beau Briskey who are travelling to Forbes to trial for the Polding Rugby Union team. We wish both these boys luck and safe travels. Good luck also to Mr Flynn and Mr Casson who will be carrying out official duties on the day.
Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council have made the difficult decision to postpone Gala Day due to the extreme weather conditions around the Diocese and field closures in Inverell.
The new date for Gala Day will be Friday 3rd September, 2021.
This does mean that we forfeit the opportunity to provide the pathway for the winning school based League team, but unfortunately with school athletics carnivals booked in, it is impossible to secure a date prior to the Independent and Catholic Schools Rugby League Knockout. I know this will be a disappointment to some schools but we honestly tried our best to find a date.
All information should stay the same for September, however I will send out updated information closer to the date.
Thank you for your understanding.
IMPORTANT: If you returned an expression of interest note your child has been placed in a team with the number of students for this team meeting nomination requirements. If you withdraw your child the team may not be able to go ahead. Please be mindful of this as the nominations have already been placed and the school has been invoiced for these teams.

Over the last month some of the students who attend Tamworth City Dance Academy have been competing in the selected TCDA Show Troupes and also competing in Solos, Duos and Trios. They have travelled to Inverell, Armidale, Narrabri and Tamworth. Some of the sections had up to 20 competitors traveling from near and far including coastal areas. Their commitment, work ethic and Dancership is outstanding and their hard work has resulted in outstanding results.

Calling all family and friends, we are asking you to collect any bread bags and any bread ties to bring to school for the Wonder White competition. As a school community we are hoping to collect 10 kilograms of the recyclable products which we will, in return, receive sporting equipment and go in the running for school playground equipment. There will be a collection site at each campus. Our school's Mini Vinnies group will be helping Mrs Clarke and Mrs Gippel lead this initiative.

Congratulations to St Ed’s pumas who played their final last week with only 5 girls- super proud of them for being able to hold their team and the great sportsmanship they showed. This week they played their preliminary finals and came out ontop and have now secured their spot to play in the grand final next week! Best of luck girls !
Congratulations to Gabby Hunt and Martha Ferris have been chosen to represent Tamworth in Hockey at the Kim Small Shield to be held later this month. This is a big accomplishment for both girls.
