Winter Uniform
All students should now be in their full winter uniform, including a tie.
NAIDOC Week Celebrations
On Friday 25th June at 11.40am we celebrate NAIDOC Week with our school community. The theme for this year is Heal Country. The official NAIDOC Week website explains how important Country is to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
“Country is inherent to our identity. It sustains our lives in every aspect - spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and culturally. It is more than a place. When we talk about Country it is spoken of like a person. Country is family, kin, law, lore, ceremony, traditions, and language. For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples it has been this way since the dawn of time. Through our languages and songs, we speak to Country; through our ceremonies and traditions we sing to - and celebrate Country – and Country speaks to us.”
Please see the attached note regarding our upcoming NAIDOC Week Carnival to be held on Friday 25th June (final day of Term 2). We are looking forward to seeing you at this very special event. Please note all students are asked to come out of school uniform dressed in mufti clothes in any colour on the ATSI flags.

Working With Children Check
All parents who wish to volunteer their time with our students must provide our school office with a current Working With Children Check and their date of birth for verification purposes.
Labelling of Uniform Items
As the winter weather is now upon us, we are seeing many jumpers and jackets in the Lost Property baskets. These baskets are cleared regularly and clearly labelled items are returned to their rightful owners. It is impossible to return items where the label is difficult to read or not labelled at all. Your assistance in labelling ALL uniform items and food containers is much appreciated. Please check the baskets if your child/ren have misplaced any items.
Kinder 2022 Enrolments
Word about St Edward's learning program and increasing academic results has reverberated across our community. Demand for places in Kindergarten for the 2022 academic year has skyrocketed with over 80% of places filled. If you know of any family living within our Parish boundary looking for a place at St Edward's for next year, please advise them to phone the Infants Campus on 6765 8569 and obtain an enrolment package.
STUDENT ABSENCES
Please remember you have 7 days only to explain your child's absence on Compass. After 7 days you lose the opportunity to explain why your child was not at school. You will receive an SMS to prompt you to complete the task at 10:00am on the day if you have not already done it.
Recycle your Bread Bags and Tags
We are collecting empty bread bags and tags (it can be any bread bags and tags - not just Wonder White) to be recycled and made into exercise equipment. Collection boxes are located at both the Infants and Primary Campus.
Lost & Found
A child's wallet has also been found. Please see the ladies in the Primary Office if you think it may be yours.
Set of keys found near Infants Pick Up area 26th May. Please see the Infants Office to claim.
