A very big thank you to Fr. Paul for showing the Kindergarten children around Mary Help of Christians Church last Friday. The students really enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot about all of the special items we have in our church.
Confirmation will be on Sunday, 15th August at 9.00am.
There will be an information evening Tuesday, 13th July at 6.00pm (Week 1 next term) in the Year 6 classrooms.
Each year the candidates choose a sponsor (must be a baptised and confirmed Catholic, who is over the age of 16). Father Paul asks that each sponsor provide a copy of their Baptism and Confirmation certificates, before the sacrament date. These can be obtained from the Parish of Baptism. Please start thinking about sponsors and gathering this information early, as some Parish Offices may be difficult to contact. Documents (copies only please) can be sent in with your child, or scanned and emailed directly to Mrs Clarke at: sclarke@arm.catholic.edu.au.
Students will be asked to wear white dresses and white shirts with a tie. It may be a good time over the holiday break to start organising the attire for the day.
Our annual Grandparents' Day celebrations will be held at the Primary Campus on Friday, 23rd July. This year we will be hosting a breakfast BBQ, beginning at 7.30am and running until 9.00am (you are welcome to attend any time during these hours).
There will be an art display set up in the Primary Hall for your enjoyment.
We hope that you will be able to join us during this time to celebrate our Grandparents and the love they bring to our families and community.
Please contact Mrs Clarke at sclarke@arm.catholic.edu.au if your child is interested in becoming an Altar Server at our weekend Parish Masses. If your child was a server prior to the lockdown and would like to be put on the roster again, please send a reminder of the preferred Mass time.
Calling all family and friends, we are asking you to collect any bread bags and bread ties to bring to school for the Wonder White competition. As a school community we are hoping to collect 10 kilograms of the recyclable products which we will, in return, receive sporting equipment and go in the running for school playground equipment. There will be a collection site at each campus. Our school's Mini Vinnies group will be helping Mrs Clarke and Mrs Gippel lead this initiative.
