Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

It has been wonderful to have the children back at school after the recent lockdown and 2 weeks of remote learning. It is during these difficult times that remind us to appreciate face-to-face teaching.

During the recent storms, a number of branches fell from some of the trees on our school property which were a safety hazard. Thank you to two of our Dads, Justin de Waard and Darren Hughes for chopping up and mulching the fallen branches, therefore, making it safe for the children to play in our outdoor area.

Recently, select students from our SLC participated in our District Cross Country event. All of the students who participated are commended for their effort. In particular, Emily who placed 10th qualified for the next level being the Division Cross Country. This event was held last week and Emily is to be congratulated for her outstanding effort.

As we now begin our holiday break, I would like to thank my staff for their hard work with preparing the student reports for Semester 1 and conducting the Parent-Teacher Conferences. This Semester, students were encouraged to attend the Parent-Teacher Conferences as a way to involve them in the process thereby promoting student voice and accountability for their own learning.

Finally, I wish you all a safe and happy holiday break and we look forward to seeing you all at the start of Term 3, being Tuesday 13th July.

Kind regards

Mrs. Robyn Thomson

Principal
