John XXIII Netball Club

It was a great weekend of netball last week. The rain managed to stay away until the last two games, then the heavens opened and those of us still there got soaked.
The grading rounds for Years 5 – 12 are now complete and the fixtures for the season are finalised. Please check your fixtures weekly in case of court changes.
Wet weather
Netball is a winter sport and we do play in the rain. Games are cancelled for lightening and hail only.
In the unlikely event of games being cancelled we will notify you via email asap. There will also be notices on our website http://johnxxiiicnc.wa.netball.com.au
Umpires
Umpires are a vital part of our game and without them we couldn’t play.
Learning to be an umpire is a great way to have a better understanding of our game and appreciate the difficult job of the umpires that show up every week.
A huge thank you to all of our umpires for all of your efforts. It’s not an easy role but we couldn’t play without you.
Thank you also to our Umpire Mentors and Alumni Umpires who continue to support and inspire our up and coming umpires.
John XXIII Netball Club has an umpire training program. The first step to joining our program to be an umpire is the complete a PNA Umpire Workshop.
Perth Netball Association are running an umpire workshop over the July school holidays.
More details can be found on their website http://www.perthnetball.com.au/get-involved/umpiring/
WA Day
There are no games on the WA Day long weekend June 4 - 7.
Good luck to all of our teams this week.
See you on court.
