The Wellbeing Hub
During lockdown it can become quite isolating being stuck at home. Particularly at this time of the term where many of our students have been in remote learning for all of Term 3. More than ever, it is important for each of us to take care of our own wellbeing, connect with those that we care about and take time out for ourselves. The Wellbeing Hub has been created to provide our community with a range of fantastic activities that will allow them to do just that!
It has been an exciting time on The Wellbeing Hub over the past two weeks. Many students and staff have taken a break away from their busy days and participated in one or more of the wellbeing activities on offer. These activities have a variety of benefits and include:
- improving flexibility and strength
- reducing stress and anxiety
- improving concentration and focus
- calming the mind
- improving productivity with work
- having fun!
We have had an overwhelming positive response to the Wellbeing Hub and have decided to increase the activities on offer! Our schedule starting from next week includes:
Monday
- Personal Training 8am
- Art Mindfulness 1pm
Tuesday
- Yoga 1pm
Wednesday
- Personal Training 8am
- Dance Fun in Iso 1pm
Thursday
- Mindfulness 1pm
Friday
- Yoga 1pm
We have been very fortunate to secure a range of facilitators that are running these exciting programs designed to support positive wellbeing. Students and staff are able to work within their own ability and comfort level and participants are free to have their cameras on or off. Our message to students and staff is to get involved!
Access to all of these great activities can be found on the Microsoft Team The Wellbeing Hub. We look forward to seeing our students and staff on The Wellbeing Hub during the week having some fun, being healthy and, above all, taking the time to look after their wellbeing.
