Subject Selection Update

Selection for 2021

Thanks to all the students, parents and staff who assisted in submitting the subject selections for 2021. It has been a more different process than previous years with some unique challenges. Well done to all!

There is still another part of the process to be completed. Some of the subjects in The Visual Arts and Technology areas have a materials charge. If your child has placed these anywhere in their preferences the materials charge will need to be paid. These charges have been put up on Compass and the closing date for payment is Monday 31st of August.

If your child does not get into any of these subjects the materials charge will be credited to your school account or you can request a refund.

Once this process is complete then we will be starting the determination of which subjects we will run in 2021, place them in the blocks and allocate the students to subjects. The next step is to ensure we can staff these subjects and employee staff for any shortfalls.

All these processes take time and students will start to be informed of their final selections in the weeks after Melbourne Cup Day.

We do a comprehensive process with individual interviews and follow up with students so that they can have the pathway they need as they progress through the College. The subjects that finally run are determined purely by student interest in these subjects.
