Co-curricular - Senior Sport

Last week I received word that St Stanislaus’ College along with Scots All Saints Bathurst would be withdrawing from participating in any further ISA fixtures this winter season. Given the current climate this it totally understandable. At St Patrick’s we are fortunate that we have been able to play the past two weekends and have almost a full round of fixtures scheduled for this weekend. I know we all are living busy lives and wish to forward plan our weekends, however, as cases of COVID-19 continue to spawn here in NSW, sport will be assessed on a week-by-week basis when it comes to organising fixtures.

I thank you for your understanding in the matter.

Reminder

The College will continue with only one parent/carer spectator per player for Saturday 8 August fixtures.

All spectators will be expected to register their attendance by sending an SMS with the school ‘venue code’ and their ‘full name’ on entry to that venue. Signs will be placed at each venue to remind spectators. The phone number will remain the same for each week and across other ISA schools. For your own convenience, please feel free to save this number in your phone - 0488 825 971.

All SPC venues have been allocated a code. Please see below:

Captains of Winter Co-curricular – 2020

I am pleased to inform the College community that Mr Chase appointed the following boys to Co-curricular leadership roles this winter:

Captain of TennisJoseph Cliff
Captain of RugbyGuy-Luca Conti
Captain of FootballAlexander Berarducci
Captain of DebatingGianluca Pecora

All four students ought to be congratulated on their appointments and at the same time acknowledged for the wonderful contributions they have made to their chosen area of interest over several years. I am confident that these young men will not only lead their respective teams well, but they will also prove to be excellent ambassadors for the College and shining role models for our younger boys to follow.

COVID-19 Protocols – Thank you

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the great majority of parents who adhered to the protocols put in place over the last two weeks. In the main, parents have been very understanding despite the inconvenience, particularly when it comes to having their other children supervised while one son plays. Please note that Mr Calavassy and Mr Locke will continue to keep the community updated on the protocols that we need to follow when attending home and away fixtures. Not all schools will have the same protocols so I encourage you to read the relevant documentation on a week to week basis. At present, most schools are still allowing one parent/carer supporter per student to attend and support, but as yet no siblings are permitted to attend as well.
