Co-curricular - Junior Sport

This Saturday sees the Junior School students play round 3 of the winter season. This will mark the half-way point of the revamped schedule. I would like to thank all the parents/carers, boys, coaches, and ground officials for all their efforts in keeping to the COVID-19 procedures in place at home grounds and while away. It is only through abiding by these measures that we will continue to have the opportunity to complete the season.

Moving forward it is important that we adhere to the one parent/carer per player conditions at all grounds and that we are all practising good cough and sneezing etiquette. Please make sure that we spread out as far as possible (at least the 1.5m recommendation) and at the conclusion of the game, please make sure you leave the field/venue as soon as possible.

I would request that for this weekend, all St Patrick’s Junior School teams that are playing at Bark Huts Reserve in Belfield, to please enter and leave via Clareville Close. Clareville Close is the street just before the parking area on Elliott Street, as you approach from Punchbowl Road. This will help in managing the transitional congestion between games. Trinity will also be utilising Bark Huts reserve over the next few weekends, so the numbers at the fields will be greater than in previous weeks.

Congratulations to the following boys who were announced Age Champions from the Junior School House Athletics Carnival.

11 years - Year 6Jacob Kelava (Crichton)

Well done boys on your individual efforts and for representing your houses so well.

I look forward to hearing of the Junior School efforts this weekend and know that they will give their best for the Blue, Black and Gold.
