News from the Prep Room 

New Beginnings with Ms Durrant

To the St Bridget's Community,

I am very excited to introduce myself as Ms Nicki Durrant, the new Prep teacher for the remainder of 2020. Over the past three weeks I have had the opportunity to meet the Staff and students at St Bridget's, and to start teaching the beautiful Prep children. I have felt warmly welcomed and thank everybody for this. I am also very much looking forward to meeting the parents, when the time allows.

To finish the Semester in the Prep room we have had a big focus on Reading , Handwriting (correct letter formation) and Time (days of the week and o'clock). The students' reading has been supported by Mrs Dunn who has listened to the children read everyday as well as having the children recite their Magic 100 words. Also, I have introduced the Preps to one of my favourite activities - paper craft. It was a big hit!

I now eagerly await the start of Term 3 when I will begin full time teaching of the Prep children and also introduce another passion of mine, Skipping Club. This will be open to all year leveIs and I have already seen many children out on the yard practising. Keep up the great work!
