From the Deputy Principal

Welcome back to Term 4

I hope that you have had a relaxing and rejuvenating break.

As Term 4 is only nine weeks long, it will be over before we know it. I encourage all students to make the most of the opportunities available and continue to apply themselves diligently to their studies, and to engage and collaborate with their classmates in a positive and respectful manner.

Students have been reminded of the College's uniform expectations, which are listed below:

  • Blazers or track pants are to be worn to and from the school, and hats when outside at lunchtime.
  • The sports uniform must be worn on days when students have HPE classes, a sports pass, or a signed note.
  • One set of earrings, such as small studs or sleepers, may be worn. Multiple piercings, nose studs, fake eyelashes and coloured nail polish are not permitted.
  • Hair is to be worn up. Ribbons are available from the House Leaders' office.

We look forward to the Year 12 Graduation Mass next Tuesday evening, followed by their Final Assembly and Belling Out ceremony on Friday afternoon.

We keep the Year 11 and 12 students in our prayers as they prepare for their examinations. It is a stressful time for students and their families. I encourage parents and carers to access many excellent resources available on School TV, including this special report on Coping with Exam Stress, which is available online here

Furthermore, please do not hesitate to contact your daughter’s Homeroom or Subject Teachers if you are concerned.

Preparations are underway for Prize Giving, Monday 5 December at Wrest Point. The evening is an opportunity to celebrate the gifts and talents of the Senior School students and to farewell the Year 12s.

Attendance at Prize Giving is compulsory for all Years 7 to 12 students. If there are exceptional circumstances that prevent a student from attending, please indicate this in writing to Principal Damian Messer.

Further details about Prize Giving will be communicated to families and students in the coming weeks.
