Messages from our Librarian - Mrs Adams

New Kinder Orientation

Last Friday I was lucky to have the new Kinders for 2023 come and visit me for a session in the library. Of course, we looked at books and their buddies stayed and read to them lots of the beautiful books that we have here. We also did some craft associated with our book and explored some of the robotics that we have. Needless to say, Dash and the Beebots were a hit. We had a lovely busy time and the afternoon went so fast and I look forward to seeing them again in 2023.

Premier's Reading Challenge.

Finally, our certificates have arrived. 96 children completed the challenge this year. (Big, Big clap)  Congratulations to all those that completed it and a big congratulations to those children who completed the Challenge themselves. We had many children in the infants who read the books at home and there were many children in Stages 2 and 3 who independently completed it. Over the next couple of weeks, children who have completed the Challenge will receive their Certificates.

By the way, the Premier's Reading Challenge is open for 2023 so all those books that they read over the Christmas Holidays can be recorded.

ALL LIBRARY BOOKS NEED TO BE RETURNED NEXT WEEK

Please have a look around to see that all library books have been returned. There are quite a number of outstanding overdue books. Your child may receive an overdue note next week. If you feel the book has been returned please let me know. Sometimes books have a way of finding themselves back in the library without being scanned.
