In our Garden

Thanks to our great Volunteers!

We have a new volunteer working in the garden - Wendy Durrant, grandmother to several of our students, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our garden. Wendy helps 1/2 D and 1/2 B on Tuesdays,  Welcome Wendy!

Our Foundation students are very lucky to have Sini Thompson continuing to help them each week with their garden activities and on Tuesday they carefully weeded our strawberry, nasturtium, currant and young berry seedlings.  We also regularly have Kylie, Jacquie and Bailey joining 4/5 F on Thursday.   What a great team!  Thank you for all your contributions.

If you would like to join our volunteer team (we still have plenty of room),  please email Sara.Hill@education.vic.gov,au

It's Tomato time and we have started planting a few heirloom varieties including the Purple Climbing Cherokee, I'm really keen to see and taste the different varieties with the students.  Grade 3/4 K helped plant out our first seedlings.

They also were very careful weeding our garlic, harvesting broad beans and planting more lettuce varieties, Great work 3/4 K!

Grade 6 Blitzed the courtyard, weeding, trimming and also just chilling while doing a bit of drawing.

Lily has captured great detail in her drawings of calendula and lavender
Bella has created the perfect tree for playing in
I love the cartoon style shown in this drawing

It's great to see the diversity of creative talent.

Jesse discovered this brightly coloured beetle while trimming the mugwort, I wondered if it was trying to blend in with the red bricks!
