Hello RHPS Artists,

This term we have our  Senior Artists back in the art room and it is already go, go in the art room.

Grade 5/6: Acetate Reverse Self-Portraits

The Grade 5/6 students are taking on the challenge of creating an acetate reverse self-portrait. Using a photograph as our guide, we have begun carefully tracing the lines and contours of our face before we add colour and a gelli plate print background. The students are doing an amazing job and these will be showcased at our school Art Show in December.

Grade 3/4 STEAMPUNK 'LOST THING CREATURES'

The Grade 3/4 artists have ventured into Steampunk territory. This fascinating artform intertwines the old Victorian era with a futuristic feel. Using the animation of 'The Lost Thing' by author and illustrator, Shaun Tan, we are using a range of recycled materials to create 'The Lost Thing Alley' for this year's Art Show. Imaginations are in full swing and I feel this is going to be a fabulous term of learning and creativity.

THE LILYDALE &  YARRA VALLEY SHOW!

The Lilydale & Yarra Valley Show is finally back on the 19th & 20th of November. As with previous years we will be selecting a range of school made artwork to be entered into the show. You will be notified if your child's artwork will be at the show.

If your child wishes to enter artwork into the show that they have made at home, follow the link below and you can get all of the information on how to enter. There are a range of categories that you may be interested in entering such as: art, cookery, craft and photography, to name just a few. These categories are open to ALL ages, kids to adults!
