Best of luck to the following students who are representing Polding at the NSWPSA Athletics Championships next week at Sydney Olympic Park:
Angus Simpson: 11 yrs Boys 100m (came 3rd at Polding)
Josh Spinks: Junior Boys 1500m
Junior Girls Relay Team: Ruby Ricketts, Isabella Hamilton, Kalani Bender & Luna Baynton (came 3rd at Polding).
Charlee Adamson: 12/13 yrs High Jump (came first at Polding)
Henry Weinthal: 11 yrs Boys Long Jump (came first at Polding)

Diocesan Netball and Soccer Gala Day
Yesterday parents of students in Years 3-5 received an email regarding nominations for the Dio Netball and Soccer Gala Day in Tamworth on Friday 4 November.
If you would like your child to attend you will need to complete the consent and payment on Compass BEFORE NEXT WEDNESDAY 19 OCTOBER.
YEAR 5 Only-Diocesan Touch Football, Cricket, Basketball and Tennis Trials
Yesterday parents of Year 5 students received an email with the following "expression of interest form" for the above trials.
Schools are invited to nominate students (in Year 5) of proficient skill level to the following:
Diocesan Touch Trials Friday 11 November, in Tamworth
Diocesan Cricket, Basketball or Tennis Trials, Friday 2 December, in Tamworth.
Please be aware that these are not Gala Days but selection days for Diocesan Teams to attend the Polding Trials which will be held early in 2023.
As a school we can only send the following:
Tennis: 3 boys and 3 girls
Basketball: 6 boys and 6 girls
Cricket: 6 boys and 6 girls
Touch Football: 6 boys and 6 girls
We may have to have to have trials at school if we have too many nominations.
Please note the cost to attend the trials in Tamworth is $5.00 (do not pay any money now) and parents must transport their own child.
Nominations will close on Monday 24 October.
Master Blaster Cricket
The Master Blaster cricket sessions (available to 5 - 10 yr olds or those up to 12 who have never played cricket before).
Sessions will be held on Friday afternoons straight after school on Top Field until 4:30pm.
There is a registration on the below flyer for parents to register online. You can use Active Kids Vouchers; it is a Cricket Australia program running under the banner of Gunnedah Junior Cricket Association.
