Out and About the School

Staying Safe on the Walk Line

During the Covid period many families did the right thing and waited away from the school for their children to walk over the road. As time has gone on the number of children crossing the road has increased dramatically.

In order to keep all the children safe we have had to form two groups to walk across the road.

Group 1 are the children who actually walk home or to a place of work and

Group 2 are children who walk to their parents who are parked across the road.

Group 1 will leave first so the teachers can clearly see them heading off in the right direction. Group 2 will follow after that.

I would encourage parents who park across the road, and do not have babies and toddlers to care for, to walk over and pick up their children from the gate. There is a lot of space and you will be in the car before the walk line leaves school and be in time to collect children from St Mary’s.

Alternatively the Kiss and Drop line is available for a quick pick up.

This is all about us keeping your children as safe as possible and I am sure you will agree it is a worthy request.

Canteen Helpers

Canteen Helpers are desperately needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Please contact the office if you would like to volunteer some time.

Mums, dad, grandparents, friends....anybody who can spare some time would be greatly appreciated. You don't need any experience, just a WWCC. It's a great way to meet some new people and your children love seeing you there!
