All Welcome – Worship Services At St Paul

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday morning for worship. Worship times are 8.30am for a Traditional Service and 10.00am for a more Contemporary services with Godly Play on offer for Primary School aged children. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held most weeks after both worship services.  This week on Sunday 25th September we will be having one service at 9.30am to celebrate the years of dedication Nicole Hall has given in her role of Child, Youth and Household Ministry Coordinator. This combined service will hold the Rite of Farwell and we will share a morning tea afterwards.

Playgroup @ St Paul

Playgroup @St Paul is on each Tuesday during Term time in the Hall, from 9-10.30, but we welcome people in anytime from 8.30 onwards while we set up. Join us for a coffee, playtime, story time and songs from 9-10.30 each week during school terms. Cost is $2 per family.

*Please note that this Tuesday is the last Playgroup for Term 3.

We will return for Term 4 on Tuesday 18th October at 9am

This week in sensory play we made a jungle using plastic animals, trees and kinetic sand.  For a craft activity we used paint and pin pong balls (or fingers!) to put stripes onto our tiger pictures.

For Story Time we read ‘Find Me A Tiger’ by Lynley Dodd and sang songs about lots of different animals.  Next week we will see what Hairy Maclary gets up to in the book ‘Hat tricks’ and learn a couple of new songs to add to our playgroup song book.

Growing Faith At Home

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

This week’s theme is based on the Bible reading about being content.  ‘After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into this world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.  So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.’ 1 Timothy 6:7-8

Here are a few ways to introduce the topic of contentment into your week

Mealtime Prayer:

God, we’re so blessed with what you’ve sent.  May we be thankful and content.  Amen.

Pray:

Lord Jesus. We are truly rich because of you.  Help us to be generous to others.  Amen.

Bless:

May God fill you with the richness of His love.

Discuss:

Maybe you could share a time when you were in need and someone helped you, or discuss how God meets your needs.

As a family you could look at the needs of people in the community, talk about what help is available to them and maybe how you could help.
