Welcome to Spring!

The occasional day of sunshine and the promise of warmer weather to come is incredibly revitalising, even though some more rain is also forecast. With September comes the need for students to wear their hats. Students must have a hat in order to play at school and SPLASH, and to participate in PE lessons. Whilst students do have opportunities to apply sunscreen at school, it can be helpful to get into the habit during warmer months to apply sunscreen before leaving for school.

Concert

With the upcoming concert, students are diligently practicing at school and at home. I’ve seen instructional videos of some of the dancers and I know the children have found it great to see Mr Huxtable’s dance moves. If you are a parent of a child in Years 1 to 4, thank you for your support with costumes, home rehearsals, and any other support you have provided. We look forward to seeing many of you at the afternoon concert performances next week, and to sharing the film with you in the near future. I hope that the anticipation is spreading in your household!

COVID-Safe Guidelines Update

Thank you to all families who have completed the survey emailed to them last week. As with many challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is clear from the results so far that needs and desires in the community are incredibly varied. Please be assured that we continue to do our very best to balance COVID safety needs with learning and community needs. An update to our guidelines will be sent to families at the end of the coming school holidays. The survey remains open until Friday 30 September.
