Staffing Update

This week Mrs Breewel started her parental leave with Miss Pallott replacing her during her period of leave. We wish her all the best during this exciting time for Hayley and her family. I’m sure the children will miss her, but I know they will continue with the excellent teaching program with Miss Pallott.

As of Monday, Yvonne Matotek will begin her Long Service Leave for the remainder of the term. Yvonne and her family will then be moving south to begin a new chapter of their lives! Yvonne has performed the role of Business Manager at Merbein Secondary College and then Merbein P-10 for 24 years, so her knowledge, expertise and friendship will be greatly missed. Yvonne will still be popping in from time to time as part of the ‘handover process’ to our new Business Manager, Amy Nash, and we will formally farewell her at the end of the term. Whilst Amy has large shoes to fill, we know she will do a terrific job and continue the wonderful work of our admin team at Merbein P-10 College. I’m sure our entire College community join me in welcoming Amy.

No Hats No Play

During Term 4, all primary students are required to wear a hat out in the yard at recess and lunch times.  The school policy is 'No Hat No Play'.  Students without a hat will need to sit in the designated shaded areas. If you need to purchase a hat for your child you can do so at the school's main office.
