Congratulations Tom Mackie who represented Barwon Heads Primary School at the state cross country championships earlier in the year. Tom qualified his way from our school cross country, district and regional events before participating at the state championship.

Congratulations to Roma Partos-Slattery and Quinn Taylor who represented the school at the regional athletics event. Roma participated in the Shot put where she recorded a personal best finishing 7th. Quinn participated in the Long jump where she recorded a distance of 3.35m and finished 6th. Not pictured is Taylah Lamb who participated in the High Jump where she finished 4th and the 100m finishing 2nd thus progressing to the State Finals. Congratulations on all your achievements!
Students in all classes have been having fun exploring different types of printmaking.
Using either foam plates, stamps or collographs, images of animals, people and buildings have been created.
Students have been working hard out in the garden during STEM sessions. The Grade One and Two’s have been learning about companion planting and constructing their own bean teepee. The students in 1C also displayed excellent teamwork when they helped to prepare the garden bed for planting our own Three Sister’s Garden!
This week, Grade 4 students have been learning adjectives to describe the positive qualities in their peers. They learnt how to use the dictionaries to assist in translating unfamiliar vocabulary.
Grade 5 students are learning how to tell the time in Indonesian. After viewing a slide show about ‘Time’, they had a fun game of Bingo to help them remember the new vocabulary.
