Class Updates and Reminders

Grade Prep

Dates to Remember:

• Beach School (Session 3)- Monday 14th November 
• Werribee Zoo- Friday November 25th 
• Prep Dinner- Thursday 1st of December 

Reminders:

• Hats: Please remember to pack or leave a broad brimmed hat at school. This is really important on Beach School days as there is no shade available on the beach. 
• Library: Prep students have Library each Tuesday, so please help remind your child to pack their library bag and books so as they can borrow. 

Grade 1

Dates to Remember:

• Week 5 and 6- Older person interviews to be completed and sent back to school (coming home at the end of week 4)

Reminders:

• Library- Grade One students have library on a Monday. Please make sure students have their bags and books ready for swapping.
• Hats- If your child has not yet got a hat, please see the Office staff 
• Homework Books: Please remember that homework books are to be bought to school on a Monday and Friday. Please remind your children to have these in their bags.

Grade 2

Dates to Remember:

• Camp Wyuna day camp - Wednesday November 2nd

Reminders: 

• Parents will need to collect their own child from the camp on November 2nd between 6:00 and 6:15pm in the park opposite the camp (old Queenscliff/Bellarine High School site, just past the Marine Discovery Centre, on the left as you first enter Queenscliff).
• Hats- If your child has not yet got a hat, please see the Office Staff to purchase.

Grade 3

Dates to Remember:

• End of Year Celebration Bike Ride 1st of December (More information to come)
• Grade 3 Swimming - Week 10 (December 5th)

Reminders: 

Older Person Interview

Students have a 10 question 'older person interview' to conduct with a grandparent, neighbour, family friend or someone who is known to you. 

Over the next couple of weeks students will share what they have discovered about life, school, and how things were different. 

Students can record the questions (video or audio) or write them down.

Grade 4

Dates to Remember:

• Every Tuesday is the Grade 4 Garden program, timetable is as follows:
  • Grade 4A, Tuesday 1st and 8th of November 
  • Grade 4B, Tuesday the 15nd and 22th of November 
  • Celebration Day, 29th of November
• Wednesday the 30th of November - 2nd of December - Camp to Lyrebird Park (more details to come)
• Tuesday the 6th of December - Excursion to ScienceWorks

Reminders:

• Hats - Broad-brimmed hats must be worn outdoors during Term 4. Please contact the office if your child needs to purchase a new hat. 

Grade 5

Dates to Remember:

 - Cave Hill Creek Camp 2-4th November

Reminders:

 - Please return all diaries and schoolbooks to school

 - A wide-brimmed hat

Grade 6

Dates to Remember:

• Camp Kangaroobi: Monday 07 - Wednesday 09 November
• Laverton College visit: Friday 02 December
