Dropping Off and Picking Up Students from School

Please note:

NO PARKING on the VERGE.

The Drop Off area in the Administration car park becomes very congested with some cars having to queue on the road waiting for access.  In order to alleviate this problem, when picking up students parents are asked to drive as far forward as possible in the Drop Off area, even if it means an extra 10m walk for their son (it will do them good!).

When a car in front of you leaves, please move as far forward as possible, each time the space in front is vacated.

Please make the drop off and pick up as quickly and safely as possible.

Parents are also asked not to park in the Drop Off area if they need to visit the College Office.

Please use either Pindari or Kershaw Road when picking up in the afternoon – using the marked parking bays where possible. Your assistance with both of these concerns will help make for a safer environment for our boys.

2023 Vaccination Program for Years 7 & 10

The 2023 Adolescent School-Based Immunisation Program (SBIP) in WA is delivered in high schools.

The Program

Throughout the 2023 school year SBIP will provide the following immunisations:

Year 7

(2 & 3 March and 4 & 5 September)

Covid 19 vaccines will be offered to all eligible students.

  • All students require parent/guardian consent before they receive any vaccinations at school.
  • The introduction of VaccinateWA (VWA), an online platform, will be used to gain parent/guardian consent and record vaccines delivered into the Australian Immunisation Register.
  • Online consent process is preferable as we move forward to a paperless program.
  • PDF forms will be available via the Healthy WA website for families that cannot access VWA,  School-based immunisation program (healthywa.wa.gov.au).

Catch-up Vaccination

  • Due to the impact of the pandemic and in the interest of public health, the teams are continually striving to improve adolescent immunisation rates in the community.
  • Students who are absent on immunisation days will be offered a catch-up at the next scheduled SBIP visit. Parents/guardians also have the option of accessing these vaccines through their local service provider (GP, Pharmacy, Community Immunisation Clinic).

Consent

The 2023 School Based Immunisation Program is transitioning to an online platform.

  • Please use the VaccinateWA online platform to complete your child’s consent.
  • For detailed instructions on how to register your child, including  information relating to the relevant disease transmission and symptoms, please visit School-based immunisation program (healthywa.wa.gov.au).

or complete

  • A paper-based immunisation consent form obtained through the school or via the healthy WA website.
  • Please sign and return to the school even if consent is declined.
  • NOTE:  Paper-based consent forms will be entered onto VaccinateWA and you will receive an email confirming this.
  • All vaccines provided will be recorded in the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
