News from Foundation

Settling in 

The Foundation students are loving every aspect of school so far! They have settled in so well into life at St Joe's and are really enjoying all the fun stuff we have been learning at school! For the past two weeks, they have enjoyed attending Sport, Japanese, Music and STEAM lessons. Here are some photos below of all the fun we got up to!

Maths

The Foundation students have been loving learning about maths this week! This week we have been learning about numbers and how we can represent numbers using different objects. The Foundation students loved using hands-on materials! They really liked having to show the number 6 by putting the blocks together in different ways!

Jolly Phonics

The Foundation students have started to learn about sounds and letters which is so exciting!! They now know the sounds and letters: s a t p i n c k ! They have been working so hard to practice their handwriting as well as practising reading and blending new words! They are doing an amazing job!
