Do all that you do with love ~

Dear Parents and Friends of St Therese's Primary School,

Child Safety

At St Therese’s Primary School, Cranbourne North, we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school. Our commitment is drawn from, and inherent to, the teaching and mission of Jesus Christ, with love, justice and the sanctity of each human person at the heart of the gospel.

The wellbeing of each member of the St Therese’s community is nurtured through building positive relationships and respecting the dignity of all individuals. The school is a safe, harmonious and engaging learning environment.

The staff at St Therese’s Primary School, Cranbourne North, are committed to teaching the Catholic traditions and to the spiritual tradition of Saint Therese of Lisieux. Inspired by Saint Therese’s belief that even the smallest act of love is large in the eyes of Jesus and her commitment to do the simple things extraordinarily well, the school is committed to valuing young people and their development as persons with a lifelong love of learning.

All policies relating to Child Safety can be found on our school website.

Please also take time to read the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Ltd commitment statement to child safety.

Welcome BBQ

What a magnificent turn out for our first major school event of the year - our Welcome BBQ! There was a genuine buzz about on Tuesday evening, so many students and their families in attendance. Thanks to everyone for coming along enjoying each other's company and diversity. So much to learn from one another in a great atmosphere.

The turn out is testament to the St Therese School Community and the willingness to be exactly that...a community. The feedback from everyone was so positive and happy. It is truly a privilege to be a part of such a diverse and welcoming community.

Community provides meaning, purpose and motivation. Having a shared sense of belonging can increase a sense of accountability and mutual support in difficult times. It also provides a forum for joy and successes to be shared, recognized and celebrated. This is what was witnessed on Tuesday. Well done and thank you everyone.

Camp

Just a reminder that the Senior Camp to Candlebark Farm will be held on Wednesday 29th - 31st March 2023 at Candlebark Farm in Healesville. A Parent Information Meeting will be held on Wednesday 1st March 2023 at 6:00pm in the School Hall. Please place this into your diaries.

Students have received a Camp Clothing and Personal Equipment List as well as a Student Medication Request Form which needs to be completed for EACH different medication that requires administration for your child and then sent to school with the medication, if possible, prior to camp. If the medication cannot be sent to school prior, please sent the Medication Request Form allowing teachers to collate this very important information for camp purposes.

Have a great week!
