Swimming Sports

St Anne’s College recommenced the holding of our swimming sports after a year’s hiatusdue to inclement weather and flooding. With a suitable date not available at the recently reopened Aquamoves complex, the Tatura pool became our back up venue. To ensure that we wouldn’t be crowded, the program was split into two with the Year 3/4/7/8 students competing in the morning and the Year 9/10/11 students in the afternoon.

Given that the day turned out to be one of the warmest so far for summer this meant that plenty of shade was available. The competition was keen throughout the events and many students who weren’t confident in their aquatic capabilities soon found themselves lining up to join the fun. At the changeover of students Majella House had established a commanding lead of around 100 points, a margin that it managed to maintain as the day concluded and ending the two year reign of Cooper House.
