School Council

A Message from the School Council President

What a start to Term 4!!

On Thursday 27th November, Cynthia Watson (Liberal candidate for Ringwood) announced an election commitment to provide funding of $500,000 to Marlborough Primary School if she is elected as part of a Liberal-National Government.

The funding will be used for maintenance and to upgrade our school facilities.

We are strongly advocating to Will Fowles (Labor candidate for Ringwood) to match or better this pledge – for information about how you can assist, please see the MPS Community Facebook page or contact me on the below details.

World Teachers Day

Last Friday, we celebrated World Teachers Day! Our amazing ES staff organised morning tea, decorations and a wonderful presentation at assembly!

As parents, we are always grateful for the MPS teachers and their passion! Thank you for educating and caring for our children, and just generally making a difference in their lives!

Working Bee

Our next Working Bee will be held after school on Thursday 24th November – more information will be available in Compass in the coming weeks.

Meet your School Council Member

Name - Chris Barre

Family  - Kirsty (Wife), Sullivan (Grade 4), Angus (Grade 1) and Finn (4yr)

Why did you join School Council?-  With our family likely attending Marlborough for 13 years, I wanted to be actively involved with helping it be as great a school as possible.

What Skills do you think you bring to school council?

I like to consider myself to be pragmatic, easy going and always up for a challenge.

Something you may not know about me.

I spent many years living in England whilst growing up which made me a diehard (and long suffering) Newcastle United fan - c'mon the toon!
