1A - Miss Morrison

Each week 1A are involved in literacy rotations. One of the activities that students complete is a Magic Word task. Below is a lovely example.

IA have been studying Narratives and their key elements. We have been listening to fairy tales and writing our own versions. Last week we wrote about The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

1B - Miss Lou

1B have been exploring Narratives and their features. We have enjoyed listening to fairy tales and writing our own unique versions of them. Last week we focused on The Three Little Pigs.

During Numeracy sessions we explored Place Value and practiced writing and drawing 2 and 3 digit numbers in their expanded form. Students had to roll three dices and make the biggest possible number. They then had to draw it as MAB and write it in its expanded form.

1C - Miss Wong

In Grade 1 we showed our understanding of place value and practised representing number as hundreds, tens and ones decorated. We decorated donuts with MAB to match their number and wrote them in expanded form and written form as well.
