This week in Science:

Foundation, Year 1 & Year 2

Students have been learning about the importance of pollinators and looking for signs of pollinator habitats in the schoolyard.  Some students were lucky to see hover flies, butterflies and maybe even a blue banded bee.

You may be aware that bees communicate to each other via the waggle dance. The Global Online Waggle Dance Challenge is taking place during Australian Pollinator week. You can find out more about it and even take part via the Australian Pollinator Week website

Year 3/4 & 5/6

Students have been designing a water filter, which they will construct and test during their next science lesson. They researched the best materials to use for water filtration to assist during the design process.
