School Swimming

As school swimming is coming to a close we would like to thank all the staff, parent and student helpers and students for a wonderful swimming program this year.

It has been great to see the progress each of the students have made during this time, and with give special thanks to all the teachers involved at the Splash Factory.

With summer approaching, its crucial now more than ever that our children have the skills required around water. Below are fact sheets providing information on what students in each Year level have been learning.

School Incursion - Responsible Pet Ownership

Students from Prep to Year 2 had a special visit from Tucker and his owner Barb. Barb educated students on things like how to safely approach a dog and look after a dog.

Prep C - Celebrating Diwali

Students in Prep C made colourful lamps for their families to use to celebrate the "Festival of lights". The festival is a celebration that marks the victory of good over evil.

Prep B - Computers

Students in Prep B have been using the computers during library time this week. It's a great introduction for students and they love learning new skills.

Musical Futures Incursion

Some students from Prep to Year 6 had a visit from Musical Futures. They're a not-for-profit organisation with their vision being a future where everybody benefits from the value of music. They want music-making to be relevant, engaging, imaginative and authentic – to keep music alive in schools in order to nurture the creative talent of tomorrow. Students were able to have a turn at doing some beat boxing and using the DJ equipment.

1A - Pizza reward for Food Share Drive

As part of the Food Share Drive organised by the Junior School Council the class who had the most donated items were rewarded with a pizza party. This class was lucky enough to be 1A.
