Ready to Roll : Riding skills workshops

Riding to Northcote High School – summer workshops for Yr7s  

The health and wellbeing benefits of bike riding for teens are well known, and we’re proud to have a strong bike riding culture at Northcote High School.  

This summer, Darebin Council is offering a Ready to Roll workshop for new year 7 students that’s perfectly timed to boost teen bike riding confidence and on-road skills. The two-part workshop will take place in Northcote in the mornings of Saturday 10 December & Sunday 11 December.

We’ll cover:

• bike handling skills
• road and path rules
• communication with other road users
• defensive riding techniques
• safe journey planning.

Cost: $40 for 6 hours of training; financial support is available – contact darebinlovesbikes@darebin.vic.gov.au
