Student Assistants end of year gathering

Last Monday our Library Student Assistants gathered to celebrate their year’s work. Student Assistants work in the library learning the circulation procedures, shelving books, assisting with displays, assisting with the printers and photocopiers, and covering books.

The library staff appreciate the assistance and energy Student Assistants bring to the library and their willingness to learn and act as mentors to other students. This year four Student Assistants were awarded the Meliora Sequamur Award for services to the library and the wider school community. These students were Gabriel Matthews, Ravi Sondhu, Csilla Dwyer Hinkley and Kha Huynh who went above and beyond in their roles assisting in the library.  At the celebration, Student Assistants were treated to some party food and drinks.

Attention Year 7 and 8 Italian Students!

Would you like to correspond with students in Italy as part of their study of Australia?

We have contact with a class at a school in Meda, which is situated near Milan and Como in the Lombardy region.

This is a great opportunity to practice your Italian, make international friends and teach other students about Australia.

This would be a great activity to do over the school holidays!

If you would like to participate in this activity (all stationery materials and postage provided) – come to the Library and speak to Diana.
