Principal's Message

Term 4 reflections

It is hard to believe that we are almost half way through term 4. So much has changed, developed and grown in this first year. I am not just referring to our beautiful grounds that continue to flourish, but also our wonderful students.

It seems a life time ago that we threw open the gates on that first day of term 1 2022. Our enrolments have grown from around 55 students to currently sitting at 72. Our workforce has grown with teachers, Educational Support Staff, therapists, and administration staff joining the team.

The school continues to implement  innovative programs and links to the community. We have forged partnerships with the local Men's shed, Bunnings, Kellogg’s, and local traders. These partnerships have provided valuable learning opportunities for our students.

Our school council has assisted in the growth of our school. We farewelled two members Nicole and Yeswin. I would like to thank them for their contribution in setting up our beautiful school. We welcomed two new parent members Hope and Patricia. I look forward to working with them.

Tim Witcombe joined us as a leading teacher at the beginning of term 4. Tim was successful in gaining the acting Assistant Principal role till the end of 2022. There is much to do with workforce planning, new enrolments, teaching and learning programs and Tim’s support will be invaluable.

School council approved an earlier finishing time on the final day of school this year. We will finish at 1pm on Tuesday 20th December. Their care will be available from this time and buses will arrive home 2 hours earlier than usual.

Don’t forget our student free day on 24th November. Their care will run a program on this day. Please contact them if you would like to book.

I look forward to celebrating the success and achievements of your children as we move towards the end of the year.

Kind Regards

Karen Hunt
