Primary Principals Report

Attendance and Assessment 

In the coming weeks, staff are reviewing and assessing student’s performance for report writing and to hand on to next year’s teachers.  There is a range of scheduled assessments all students across the college will be participating in. To ensure students have the opportunity to be the best they can be it is important they -

1. Are at school every day possible

2. Are well rested

3. Are at school on time (after a healthy breakfast).

Learning Devices 

We are in the early stages of implementing our BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) from Year 3-6. In preparation for next year, I encourage families to explore the options we have and what steps are required to gain access to our school network. In the coming weeks, information will be sent out. We also have information on our school website. 

Sunscreen & Mosquitos

With our recent weather providing warm days and humid conditions, we have seen increased bug and insect populations. Firstly, we encourage all students to apply sunscreen prior to arriving at school. We suggest that you apply a repellent and/or spray to your child before coming to school. If your child has an allergic reaction to mosquito bites, please advise the office.

Start of Day Supervision

This is a friendly reminder that supervision of students (and entry into the school) does not begin before 8:30am. We are still noticing a number of students who are arriving early and are waiting for a while at the gates. We kindly ask that students do not arrive at school prior to 8:30am.
